How do I clean my new wood piece?
You can clean anything from our shop by lightly wiping it down with warm, soapy water. Do not use as a heating vessel. Do not put in the dishwasher, oven, microwave or use any chemicals. Dry it after wiping it down. Do not let it soak in water or remain wet for too long, as it will soak up the water and weaken the wood.
Where does the wood you use come from?
All wood is salvaged. No trees have been cut for the specific purpose of any of these wood creations. Click below to learn more about the specific types of wood I use!
What can I do to maintain the wood itself?
To maintain the wood, you can apply mineral oil or walnut oil as needed, or once per year. Do this by wiping on a coat of oil with a clean cloth, let it sit for about an hour, and then wipe dry.
How long is the process to make a bowl?
It all depends on the type of wood and the size. Some woods are a lot easier to work with than others. It can take anywhere from 4 hours to several weeks.
Do I need to season the wood before use?
No. All wooden items have been seasoned with a food safe finish.
How long will it take to ship my order?
All orders are shipped within 48 hours.
